BLACK GIRL LOST by Mary McCallum - We all know the names Laci Peterson, Chandra Levy and Natalee Holloway but how many of us know of Matrice Richardson? In “Black Girl Lost” two mothers, one Black and one White, have daughters that are missing at the same time. “Black Girl Lost” explores the issue of greater media coverage given to missing White women than those of other ethnicities and how mothers and families try to cope when a child is missing. How do you go on when you can’t find your child? Performed at D.C. Black Theatre Festival and Manhattan Repertory Theatre Summer Festival. Feature length independent film.

CHASING JEREMY by Mary McCallum - Stageplay/Screenplay: After a run-in at a convenience store, Jeremy is haunted by the revenge-seeking black male teen victim. Tensions escalate as both families struggle to deal with the tragic event. HUNGER IN PARADISE by Mary McCallum- Set against the backdrop of the 1921 Tulsa massacre, “Hunger In Paradise” introduces the audience to the citizens of Greenwood, a thriving area of black-owned businesses and prosperity. When proprietor Damie Rowland's adopted son "D" becomes involved with a white woman, racial tensions explode into violence and destruction, irreversibly altering the relationships among the Greenwood and Tulsa neighbors. Can a person or a marriage really live up to other’s expectations without exploding under the pressure? The “D” Word is a drama/comedy that delves into the subject of divorce by exploring a group of family and friends who are gathered for the 18th wedding anniversary of Marshall and Mona. Mona and Marshall have a storybook life- Marshall is on the fast-track at a major law firm and Mona is a stay-at-home wife and mother. As the weekend unfolds, drama follows their recently divorced best friends, Jason and Justina, as well as visiting parents and friends. The anniversary celebration brings to light love, anger, past demons and reveals surprising secrets.
THE 70% CLUB by Mary McCallum - As friends prepare one friend for ‘I Do’ and another for divorce; secrets, lies, and betrayal threaten to derail the wedding. As they each struggle to hold on to their relationships the women can’t help but wonder if it’s even possible to find lasting love, especially for a black woman? The 70% Club offers a fresh and contemporary look at the issues faced in relationships, dating, and marriage. The 70% Club was accepted into the New York International Fringe Festival and the D.C. Fringe Festival. It was made into a feature length film which was the Best Feature Winner at the International Black Film Festival of Nashville and is distributed by Maverick Entertainment.

EMPIRE OF THE ETERNAL VOID by Kenley Smith - Locked in a transparent cell with a seemingly delusional young soldier, a military chaplain attempts to learn the truth about a violent, shocking crime. But as the session unfolds, punctuated by threats and even torture, the chaplain's sense of reality begins to shift. Are the prisoner's conversations with God the ravings of a disturbed soul, or the revelations of an enlightened one?
FAN ME WITH A BRICK by Kenley Smith - When Victoria sets out to learn more of her family’s history, she opens a portal to a past full of loss, pain and indomitable perseverance. Her mother reluctantly joins her, and the two women uncover old wounds — a scandalous affair in segregated Virginia, a stolen child, a lost parent, a horrific accident — that linger unhealed in the present. MAIDENS by Kenley Smith- In the spring of 1946, five SS Aufseherinnen (female guards) from the Stutthof concentration camp are sentenced to death by a Soviet/Polish tribunal. Jenny-Wanda Barkmann, infamous for her cruelty and known as the “Beautiful Spectre” by the camp inmates, shares a cell block with 22-year-old Elisabeth Becker; together, they wait out the five weeks until they are scheduled to hang. Elisabeth maintains her innocence and enlists the help of Lech, a Polish guard, to begin crafting a letter-writing campaign to the President of Poland. Jenny, who knows Lech from his previous job, uses that information as leverage to begin a project of her own.

Mama Dee has finally gotten all of her children to agree to spend Christmas with her in their childhood home at the same time, a first in 15 years. She has a special surprise in store for her family but when things don’t go quite as planned, drama ensues. “Holidays at Mama Dee’s” is a humorous, dramatic and heart-warming holiday play about family love, faith and perseverance.

When he dies, he leaves behind seven sons in seven different cities, an inheritance and mission to do in death what he didn’t have the courage to do in life – bring his sons together. In order to recieve their inheritance, all seven sons (who only find out about each other after their father’s passing) must spend a few days in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, getting to know each other.
