Molly Breen has read over 300 plays over multiple years as a volunteer judge in a playwriting contest and has also been a first reader of manuscript submissions for a publishing company. She will share her knowledge from this process with playwrights and others who are curious about the contest process, including tips to prepare your script for competition as well as 10 reasons not to be discouraged if you do not win! Suggested audiences: College/University Departments (Theatre, Creative Writing/English), Writing Groups
Molly Breen is a co-founder, Program Coordinator, and Producer for TPS. She is an actor who loves working with new plays and playwrights. She performs with many Nashville theatre companies, has appeared on stage in Atlanta, Kentucky, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C. and has also originated roles in over 15 world premiere productions. As a writer, she has received fellowships with the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts.
